Taking action on inclusive workplace cultures in forestry will make organizations profitable, work environments healthier and enhance career pathways for all people.
Taking the pledge means your company is committed to driving the change toward a more diverse labour force that is inclusive of all peoples (including women, Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, 2SLGBTQI+, people living with disabilities, and new Canadians), supporting the shift to a stronger more resilient forest sector. You will be added to our exclusive email list to be notified first of new content or opportunities, and we may reach out to learn about what your company does to help inform programming or help others in the sector. You can also review the Declaration of Intent which is a detailed commitment to inclusive workplace cultures for the sector. Once you take the pledge, you will receive a copy of the Pledge Badge (pictured left).

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Declaration of Intent
for the Canadian Institute of Forestry
The Canadian Institute of Forestry’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leadership Team has developed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Declaration of Intent (or Pledge) for the Institute. This Pledge has roots in the FTG initiative, and calls for the Institute’s membership to use individual and collective voices to advance diversity, equity and inclusion across the forest sector through intentional and meaningful action.
